Capturing the Imagination with color
Several years ago I began painting from black and white photos. Everywhere I go I can find inspiration. I just snap a photo and head to the studio. This gives me a value sketch to work from and allows me to capture the energy of my subject with my color and the palate knife. The real challenge lies in keeping the colors vivid and lively, while creating an overall harmony.
